Beneath The Badlands
Project Overview
Role - 3D Artist
Beneath the Badlands is a 20-week indie game project developed by a team of 50 students from various departments at SCAD. I worked as a 3D artist, contributing to the visual development of its stylized steampunk western world—creating everything from weapons and machines to modular environment assets.
The game is a roguelike first-person shooter where you play as Aster, a bounty hunter whose partner is kidnapped and taken deep into the mines. To save her, players must fight through enemies and navigate dangerous, shifting terrain.
In addition to asset creation, I gained valuable leadership experience by serving as a workflow leader for multiple weeks, helping coordinate asset integration and streamline the team's 3D pipeline.

Breakdown
These are props and hero assets I modeled based on concept art. My role covered a wide range of 3D responsibilities—including weapons, large machinery, interactable elements, as well as environmental and modular assets like foliage, pipes, and rocks.
