Invisible - AI 3D Generator
Project Overview
Role: Master 3D Modeling Specialist - AI Trainer
I was hired by Invisible Technologies to work on a partnered project with a top Fortune 50 social media and tech brand to train a text-to-mesh AI generator that produces high-quality 3D models with precise geometry, detailed textures, and PBR materials. In this project, I served as a Master 3D Modeling Specialist - AI Trainer, collaborating with a team of over 70 artists. My responsibility was to model selected objects from provided images, which were then used to train the clients AI, enhancing its ability to generate realistic, production-ready assets for games, simulations, and design workflows.

Explanation
In the top-left corner is the original image. The next two images show the masked versions, which highlight the specific object we were asked to model. In the bottom-left, you can see my model at 50% opacity overlaid on the original image, and finally, the last image shows the completed model itself. Below you'll see more examples.

Overview
It is critical that the mesh overlays the masked image as close as possible and also critical that the image looks realistic in 3D and is not skewed. To match the perspective of the original image, I use a tool called "fSpy". It computes the approximate focal length, orientation and position of the camera in 3D space based on user defined control points in still images.
Over the length of the project, the AI became highly effective at generating simple objects. To further improve the quality of the text-to-mesh- output, our workflow evolved from quick, low-poly modeling to creating high-quality, realistic meshes with accurate geometry, textures, and PBR materials. This shift allowed for higher-quality meshes and quick, effective growth of the AI.
During this period, I contributed over 100 meshes in under a month, directly supporting the AI’s development and training. I was also added to the Review and Sprint Teams, helping meet weekly deliverables by refining and iterating on other artists’ original meshes that required rework based on feedback, ensuring consistency and high quality across the project.
